Robert Morse passed on to that spirit in the sky on May 27, 2009.

Born on Oct. 31, 1953, in Bakersfield, Calif., Robert proudly called Lake County his home for the last 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his life partner, Jim Connolly, and their two black labs, Katy and Ubu. He is survived by his parents, Catherine and Stanley Decker; brothers, Stan Jr., David and Christopher; sister, Renee; cousin, Scotty; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Robert had a large circle of friends that he continuously touched the hearts of from before and after he moved to Lake County. He asked that you make a friend smile, love harder and make a stranger laugh.

Services will be performed by Father Leo at St. John’s Episcopal Church located at 1190 N. Forbes in Lakeport on Sunday, June 7, at 1 p.m. Immediately following the services, a celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 8265 Broadview Drive in Kelseyville.

Robert requested that any donations on his behalf be made to Hospice Services of Lake County. Please share your memories by leaving comments below.

Thanks, Robert, for being You.

I'll miss you, Robert. You always had a kind word (or two or three) to say whenever we met on the street. I enjoyed stopping by your house after my walk up the street where we both live to see your plants, look at the spectacular view, and pet your cat. You did your job well - you were a good steward to the planet, and a tireless crusader for any cause you saw fit to be involved in. I'll bet the view is magnificent from where you are now of the beautiful mountain and lake you loved so much!

With much love,

Carol

We will miss you Robert - you always stood up for what you believed and loved and especially for our beloved Lake County. The many committees you were on and the many many meetings you attended to make sure your voice was heard, not for self serving purposes, but for the protection of our beloved Lake, Mountain, and County for posterity. I always enjoyed seeing you at these meetings and hearing your comments. You never gave up and were always so excited when decisions were made that you felt were correct. You never had a bad vibe for anyone. You had a gift and you shared it ongoing. You will be missed!!!!!!! We love you and will always remember you.
