CLEARLAKE – The grand opening of the new Carl's Jr. will be celebrated this Tuesday, Oct. 21.


The event will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the newly opened restaurant, located at 15895 Dam Road in Clearlake.


The Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m.

Goodness knows we need businesses but we are becoming just a fast food pit stop if we keep only this kind of economic development going. I'd like to hear what local candidates have to say about our county's economic future and viability. Now is the time to shape our county to reflect quality not necessarily quantity. How about a health food cooperative?
