The crash occurred at about 11:41 p.m. at Fourth and Country Club in Lucerne, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

A speeding motorcycle crashed into a pickup, leaving the rider – who was reportedly not wearing a helmet – with major head, shoulder and leg injuries, officials reported.

The rider was reported by CHP to have been found unconscious, but later was in a semi-conscious state.

A blood draw was ordered for the motorcycle rider, whose name was not available before publication.

A REACH helicopter was called to transport the rider to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The helicopter maneuvered down into town to pick up the rider, and flew out to Santa Rosa before 12:30 a.m.

living in Lucerne and driving County Club a lotI continually see non-street legal bikes with individuals riding without helmets...

a camera positioned would give both our Sheriff and CHP a better understanding of the problem...however they would then need to actively address the issue!! I suspect staffing alone would not allow a focused target on this paticular problem. Unfortunate because I'm sure the price tag for not addressing this issue aggressively, is fairly significant.

cameras on every corner - unless this is China!! No one expects the LCSO to focus of these fools, I'm just hoping that like when Clearlake was focused on, the darwin awards crowd moved to CLO. When the focus hit there, they moved to Lucerne. Just hope this time the focus is strong enough to get them over the county line. Yup, NIMBY here! And how do you know it wasn't a street legal bike? If you know more about this incident - do tell.

I know the man on the bike hes not very bright. But he is a good man. And hes going to pay for a long time for this accedint. Becuse he is going to need a lot of operations. we dont know what the police are going to do. Becuse he was under the influnce. So was he stupid for what he did very much so. He was a dum butt. But dose he desurve to be cracked on by people that dont know him. No. Becuse even thou he was the couse of the accudint he was the only one that got hert and he got hert bad. So thing cam back to him 10 fold on him.
