LAKE COUNTY – For those who love ice cream, Friday is their lucky day.

The Umpqua Bank ice cream truck will be touring around Kelseyville and Lakeport, dispensing free ice cream to adults and children.

The truck will be in Kelseyville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then will move on to Lakeport for the rest of the day. Ice cream also will be available at the Concert in the Park Friday evening.

June 20 was the last time the truck made its cheerful rounds of Lakeport, where it stopped at several businesses and handed out 800 free ice cream sandwiches at the Concert in the Park. It proved a welcome surprise during the hot summer weather.

Bank officials report that the colorful little truck keeps very busy – it's used on an almost daily basis by Umpqua employees throughout California, Oregon and Washington.
