On Tuesday, exactly three months to the day when the building was burned in an early morning blaze, Case Excavating began demolition on the shell of the former “4 Nicks Bar,” according to county Code Enforcement Manager Voris Brumfield. The building was located at Maple Shadows and Highway 175 in the community of Whispering Pines. After a hearing before the Board of Supervisors, Brumfield said the property owner is voluntarily demolishing the structure. Brumfield said Case Excavating estimated the abatement would take two days to complete. Demolition begins on the former 4 Nicks Bar on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.
