What an incredibly crappy idea. So let me guess - the County Department of Public Works will need to keep Butts Canyon Road all nice and shiny and bump free for the landed gentry. Amending General Plan, importing a massive amount of fill and proposing a mitigated neg dec, what could possibly go wrong Someone's been in the fermented grapes to long.

Donna,

What is your concern here? Is it that Butts Canyon Road might improve its appearance and you prefer it the way it is - complete with pot holes and such? Or, is your concern that your tax dollars will be used to further beautify Lake County and you prefer to keep Lake County behind-the-times? I have met folks in Middletown who actually do not want folks from as close by as the Bay Area coming for "Middletown Days." No, they want to keep those nasty foreigners OUT.

water. I mean it when I say if you see how we fight over oil wait till we start scrappin' over water. Pesticide use, the amount of fill required - how many majestic oaks will fall, building envelope size, energy used, etc? All for a silly little private club where a silly little game is be played - it isn't really even good exercise, heard it referred to as a good walk spoiled. My remark about the road is in this vein - I'd rather see equal attention paid to all the roads in DPW's perview. I just suspect the Country Club set won't see it the same way. Lake County's tax dollars should be used to beautify places in Lake County that are open to all. If you don't like the way this place is or the way its' folks are - Good News - the roads comin' in have a lane next to them headin' out.
