LUCERNE – Services have been scheduled to honor Northshore Fire Captain Dave Fesmire. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at the Lucerne Firehouse, 6257 Seventh Ave. Fesmire died Nov. 20 after a battle with cancer. He was age 55. The much-beloved member of Northshore Fire Protection District's dedicated staff – who was known to friends as “Fezzy” – was born in Carmichael. A highly decorated Vietnam veteran, he began his service in the community as a volunteer in 1989, two years after arriving in Lake County. On the day of his death, the Lake County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation to Fesmire, honoring him for his service to the community. Discuss this article on the forums. (0 posts)
