smurf - no decent jobs available? Registered | 12-06-2007 10:15:17
the good news is that Bently is less likely now to wind up in Iran, the bad news is that Afghanistan is certain to get worse next Spring, and Iraq could go either way still. Wonder what got this kid to sign-up two years after graduation, no decent jobs around or what? whatever, just don't get yourself blowed-up kid, cuz if you do they'll want that signing bonus back!

Pfc. Bentley - I wish you good luck in your endeavors and await your safe return. And smurf, try a little tact every now and then. This brave young man (and his proud worried mom) know the risks without you reminding them. Your off the cuff remarks aren't so off the cuff to those with skin in the game.

Donna..one day I want to verbally wring your neck the next day I want to hug you, at least you give a decent argument to your side....wish I could say the same for smurf. We're actually sorta on the same side here Donna.
I have a Marine son, I am very pleased with his decision to earn the title, United States Marine, and am dam proud of him.
I just can never understand why these kids go off and defend the likes of people like smurf, Thompson, Pelosi, and the rest of the protitutes in DC.
I am sure the servicemen DO understand what they are doing, better than some eh donna.
