KELSEYVILLE – A Kelseyville woman suspected of drinking and driving was arrested after she crashed her car into a residence.

Lisa Anne Tragiou, 45, was arrested by California Highway Patrol Officer Dallas Richey after the crash took place just before 3 p.m. Thursday in Kelseyville, according to CHP spokesman Officer Adam Garcia.

Tragiou was driving her 1986 black Ford Ranger pickup northbound on State Street, south of Gaddy Lane, when the pickup drifted right off the roadway and clipped a telephone pole, which escaped structure damage, Garcia said.

The collision caused the pickup to travel left across the roadway, Garcia reported, where it struck a cyclone fence, continuing through the fence and over a grass lawn.

Tragiou's pickup finally struck the front steps and overhead awning of a mobile home, said Garcia. CHP logs reported that the home was in the 2000 block of N. State Street.

The home's occupants, and Tragiou and her passenger, 46-year-old Jennifer Engstrom of Kelseyville, escaped injury, Garcia reported.

Tragiou was booked into the Lake County Jail, with bail posted at $1,740. She has since posted bond and been released, according to jail records.

Garcia said Richey is investigating the incident.

that stretch of state street has two very sharp turns on it and you can't go much over 15 mph, what the hell, how drunk was this broad? And once you've hit the fence wouldn't it be wise to get off the gas?

A middle-aged woman completely faced at 3:00 in the afternoon, that's a pretty sad scenerio because that's the kind of thing an unemployed alcoholic would do, hopefully this is the first and last time booze will put her in contact with the law-I really hope she gets the help she needs to get things back on track, and doesn't just get the book thrown at her, as is the custom in our "rehabilitaion is nice but punishment is the important thing" society.
Agreed,but watch the name-call

I support your right to say what you want, but object to calling anyone a "broad." She shouldn't be allowed to drive ever again, and yes, needs rehab!

were anywhere out and about, thats the time school gets out. Yeah, a little early in the day to be tying one on. And recommended reading, Bette Midlers' View From A Broad. Hilarious -and I don't mind being called a broad at all, one look at my arse and you'd be lying if you called it anything else. 'Sticks & stones....' Being called a broad is the least of this womans problems. I'm glad my tender sensibilities are not lightly insulted.
Ouch!

either women are getting more sensitive or I'm getting more rude, I suppose the latter is the more probable option. I will from now on refrain from using the term "broad" in the gender-related context, even though the woman in question had certainly left her dignity behind about the same time she hit the fence. Sorry Ellen, just push the rock back over me when you're done flogging.
