Brown reported that a car wash he owns on North Main Street in Kelseyville was burglarized sometime between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The burglars did about $10,000 in damage to get at $500 in coins in the car wash coin machine, said Brown.

In addition, Brown said the burglars stole tools and other random items such as garbage bags.

A bemused Brown noted that among the rest of the items stolen were numerous packets of Armor All and cases of car air fresheners, which should make the culprits pretty easy to spot.

In the 10 years he's operated the car wash it's been hit by hoodlums before, he said. “We've been burglarized before but nothing to this extent.”

Because of the damage, Brown has had to shut down the car wash while repairs are made, which has resulted in lost business.

Brown said he's offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest of the burglars. He said anonymous tips are welcome, with no questions asked.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Brian Martin of the Lake County Sheriff's Office, who is handling the case, at 262-4200.

fools don't rub themselves down with the Armor All packets, they'll be harder to catch. Course 500 bucks in quarters should slow'em down. Obviously we aren't dealing with rocket scientists, I just hope they call your other business Rob when they get caught. :wink:

of karma? Brown needs to relinquish and move on.He is a lier and covered up the lies. I will say this again Brown knows who I am and he can rebut, and after six years not one word. Corrupted by a process, that its a personal matter and my rights are of no consequence . Shame he knows none and not a man to acknowledge the wrong

James, everyone is tired of your whining about something that happened a long time ago and had no meaning then and even less now. Wanna gripe about Brown or any other supe? Fine, but be specific and find a new issue to go on about, and try to be succinct.

All the supes have their faults but all in all they are the best governing body in the county, not that the competition is very strong, but they do handle a wide range of issues and usually try to be fair. Nobody cares about your rusty nails, time to move on. No more vague generalizations or abstract jaw-flapping-OK?

Along with others that employees lied and covered up the lies. That supervisors helped to cover it up. Nowere did I talk about rusty nails. When you see my name you don't have to read. You don't have to be rude, use rhetoric to inflame. Is a lie vague? So I'm to move on, get over it, not in your life time. Now that said time will make all clear. we know what james is upset about, but what is icage running Brown down for? I've had my share of beefs with Rob over the years (I remember screaming in his face on the courthouse steps over his vote on planned parenthood years ago), so what is it?

I thought there wasn't any crime in Kelseyville?? And that murder that happened, that wasn't in Lakeport was it??

Quit dumping on Clearlake. Take a better look at the numbers in the Record Bee article and take a look around you!
