What must it say about such a large number of us that would believe Sheriff Mitchell and DA Hopkins are dishonest? Maybe we have been told to eat cake too often.

Why do you think this case is taking so long up to this point? Yes, a trial and jury will decide who is at fault, but for the interim, it seems the D.A. is attempting damage control to answer many questions asked by the public. He already stated the news media should not be scrutinizing the department's actions, so why is he compelled to give information in their defense? There is a conflict of interest and the public has shown this with their responses.
