Steve Brackett and Maxine Lotsey have worked hard to get the new “Faye’s Mini Mall” thrift store open at the Lakeport Senior Center. The store opens this Wednesday, June 9, 2010. LAKEPORT – The Lakeport Senior Center will have the long-anticipated grand opening of Faye’s Mini Mall this Wednesday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The thrift store has gone through a complete renovation and is stocked with a variety of quality gently used clothing and household items. New items arrive daily and everything is reasonably priced to move, with no item exceeding $10. All proceeds go to benefit the Meals-on-Wheels program and services offered by the senior center. This grand opening is the culmination of efforts from Steve Brackett and Maxine Lotsey, as well as the generous donations of quality items from the community that continue to pour in. The mall will be open for business Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesdays to 4 p.m. to go along with bingo. Sunday breakfasts on the third Sunday of each month will be another great opportunity to browse the mini mall from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Lakeport Senior Center is located at 527 Konocti Ave., Lakeport. Jonathan Crooks is assistant director at the Lakeport Senior Center.
