Weeks: Too little on the ballot

I received my Lake County ballot from the registrar this week and was livid!

How much money was spent to mail out ballots for one position for the board of Mendocino College?

I am glad that we have a campus of Mendo College here, but can't the board be elected when there are other matters on the ballot?

What a waste of money at a time when so much is being cut for lack of county funds. This is a travesty.

I believe the college is required to pay for this ballot. The college doesn't have any extra funds either.

I see this election having a very small turnout....I voted by mail and still consider the cost too much for what the election is.

that a lot of people feel the same way, too much expense for one job to fill-they need to re-schedule the terms so this doesn't happen again.

has the college election, Elementary school district election and high school district election. Have also noticed Measure C (if I recall correctly) in Lakeport. But all are correct, why aren't these terms & initiatives co-ordinated with state & fed elections?

It would be nice if there was more on the ballot this time, but there isn't..

I think I'll just mildly note this problem and save my lividity for something more important.... like trillions of dollars wasted on fraudulent wars......and the refusal of our lobbyist paid politicians to respond to what the people want..... for instance health care....

It's weird and I know I'm part of the problem.... People get all spun up about local stuff because that is an area that they think they might have some influence... Meanwhile.. nationally we are all getting absolutely robbed and nobody does much about it...
