The City of Lakeport, Water System No. 1710004, failed to submit the required monthly surface water treatment plant report to the Department of Public Health as required by Section 64664(a), Title 22 of the CA Code of Regulations (CCR), during the month of August 2009.


Submittal of surface water treatment reports to the Department is required to ensure that your water system is providing safe, pure and potable drinking water that meets state and federal standards.


This violation pertains to the late submittal of the regular monthly report to the CA Department of Public Health. The report details the basic treatment operations of the surface water treatment plant, which were unchanged from the month before. To ensure this report is submitted in the future by its regular monthly deadline, the City has established enhanced oversight, whereby the Compliance Officer shall provide regular deadline notification to those responsible for completing and submitting the report, as well as confirming that those reports have been submitted.


This notification of the public is being done in compliance with Section 64463.7, Title 22 of the CCR as a means of keeping the public informed.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Lakeport City Council will conduct a public hearing on November 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. as part of the regular City Council meeting, in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 225 Park Street, Lakeport, for the purpose of considering adoption of the City of Lakeport Housing Element Update.  The City Council will consider adopting the Negative Declaration prepared for the Housing Element Update and adopting the Revised Draft Housing Element Update to the General Plan.

The Public Review Draft Housing Element Update was circulated for public comment from June 8 through August 7, 2009 and was also submitted to the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for review and comment.  Revisions to the Public Review Draft Housing Element Update were made based on HCD comments and are included in the Revised Draft Housing Element Update.

An Initial Study and draft Negative Declaration have been prepared for this project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act.

Copies of the Revised Draft Housing Element Update are available on or and can be obtained at the City’s website, www.cityoflakeport.com or at the Lakeport City Hall at the address below.  Further information can be obtained by calling Andrew Britton at 707-263-5613 ext. 28.  Written comments regarding the draft Lakeport Housing Element may be submitted to: City of Lakeport Community Development Department, 225 Park Street, Lakeport, California, 95453.  In addition, information may be obtained at the above address between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.  Lakeport City Hall is an accessible building through the Second Street entrance.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake will hold a public hearing on application GPAP 09-01, RZ 09-03 and UP 07-20 proposing a General Plan Amendment from Service Commercial and Rural Residential to Service Commercial and Industrial, a Rezone from “C3-DR”, Service Commercial – Design Review and “RR-SC”, Rural Residential – Scenic to “C3-DR”, Service Commercial – Design Review and “M2-DR”, Heavy Industrial – Design Review to allow for the establishment of a rock processing and gravel stockpile operation; and a Major Use Permit to replace a previous Major Use Permit that had a ten year life span, to allow the continued operation of a contractor’s truck storage and maintenance yard, on-site fuel storage and dispensing, and a rock processing and gravel stockpile operation.
