Congratulations to the new lieutenants. Both of these men are definitely qualified and will do a great job for Clearlake. I think Chief Todd has made good choices in this and other areas since he became interum chief. Taking over the CPD Chief's position is no easy task and I think the citizens of Clearlake should be extremely confident that they have the right man for the job. It would certainly be beneficial and a feather in Clearlake's cap if Larry Todd could remain as chief. But he's done his time in law enforcement and accomplished a considerable amount during his career so he's earned his travel time. Although, if he happens to read this he needs to consider the following. Why travel to see this beautiful country when he's at one of it's most beautiful areas already? (At the very least he'd get a good chuckle out of that.)
