A tough stance is needed to clean up these properties. If one is left alone, they all will be. It seems as long as a property owner is compliant and cooperative, sets a timeline and sticks to it, that should be acceptable. Pooling oil and other hazardous conditions are not.
True enough... BUT there is a wide range of enforcement practiced by code enforcement some instances are ignored even after repeated complaints, others are attacked like a rabid badger. I am all for enforcement but I do not like the tactics used and how they are applied. I have personally been threatened by Janine(sp?)Lowe and the police after filing a complaint about a neighbor. So the system needs a makeover and perhaps a personnel change.
