Governor proposes closing Clear Lake, Anderson Marsh State Parks - 2008/01/13 21:13 This thread discusses the Content article: Governor proposes closing Clear Lake, Anderson Marsh State Parks

establishing a connection between efforts to maintain a healthy watershed, and parkland might go a ways to reconsider closing parks...this would entail involvment from local governments, educators, environmentalists and community groups....the pro side.
.
the con side:
.
in lake county water speculators do millions of dollars of road wear and tear damages, while paying thousands of dollars of taxes, too many single parent mormon families on the dole eke out marginal living here....lakeside urban sprawl, is almost obvious, sustainable development planning may be helpful however just the thought of it, is often resented.....nice driftwood shows up on beaches after storms...be sure and check with local authorities before bagging finds
