Words like "moving on"; "looking forward" and "I am sorry" do not work for me; when those that would have me "moving on"; "looking forward" and accept their apologies get to keep the rewards of their ill gotten gains! There is no reasoning that should allow cheaters to be winners. Cheaters come in many forms; they are the criminals that feed at the trough of our society; they are the business person, who places us at risk for the gain of a profit, they are the baseball player who takes advantage of the steroids while his teammates rely on their skill and hard work. The worst of the cheaters are the elected official who allows the public employees to keep their jobs in the light of doing wrong! There can be no forgiveness without atonement; so do not ask me to move on when those who have done harm get to keep a lifestyle derived from cheating the rest of us out of our own happiness; wellbeing and peace of mind.
Taking the moral high road will not put food on my family's table nor will it keep them warm in the winter; for as long as we allow the cheaters among us to prosper. It is time to stop this insanity! Our children deserve a better lifestyle than the one we are offering where cheaters get to keep their ill gotten spoils; as we are left to "moving on"; "looking forward" and hear "I'm sorry"!
If the price to save my Nations soul is the game of baseball; then I say let baseball be the thing that goes to hell; not the continued lose of my country's soul! But it sounds like we are willing to sell our Nations soul for the price of a buck!
