Support Local Farmers
Our kids are being fed some of the worse, pre-packaged food there is. Breaded,fried and re-heated, partially cooked, overly cooked, stone cold, and in many other conditions.
Why don't the County school districts work with the farmers to supply as much of the food stuffs that they possibly can. We need to bring back "Real" cooking in our school cafeteria's. Doing so would help the farmers, create more jobs for our citizens, increase local spending and make us just that much more self-reliant.
And we, or at least some of us, wonder why our children are overweight. Also, having a required, realistic Physical Education program in all our schools would help!
Just another thought!
