Hey Chris, please don't blame county government for this can of worms: county government is generally very well run, and absolutely square when it comes to money (Kelly Cox guarantees it) -- aside from appointing the trustees who serve on the Vector Contol Board (and the BOS did that right too, in choosing Phil), the county has NO control or oversight on either operations or the budget of this self-governing agency. Nor is there any reason to believe that VC staff is stuffing cash into their mattresses or anywhere else: the problem here is lack of accountability and a lavish hand with taxpayer resources, not fraud. That said, I'm glad I voted NO. - a guest

The dark and dusty corners of our local government need some illumination and cleaning, I guess! I voted for the assessment. It was a small amount of money and I don't wish to reverse my vote, only that the money be spent responsibly. With you as trustee, I think the golden fleece days are numbered. Keep up the good work! - Fran

Geez, what's up with this corrupt non-functional county government?

Is this really happening?

Staff paid on average about $100,000 per year, am I reading this correctly?

For doing what, poisoning our environment, and lying to us while they stuff cash into their mattresses?

How very Lake County...and very American evidently. This mass corruption in local, state and federal government is going to affect every living thing on this planet. - Chris Thompson
