30 years ago, Morgan Valley, Jerusalem Valley, Double Eagle Ranch, same old places in the headlines...only then the grows were smaller. 500 plants was a big operation. Then there'd be a bust of 1,000 plants--REALLY big time. And they just kept getting bigger. Good analogy, tom. But I guess in a way it's better to alleviate your pain with pot than say heroin, or black market oxycontin, vicodin or whatever. People that are stoned are generally too lazy to do anything, much less go out and get in trouble, so I say let them be. - Fran

of the plants, as they don't appear to be in compliance with Prop 215 - but all of them? And what difference does it make if a patient has a caregive propogate their medicine in a different county that has ag land? Hope this doesn't get the county sued - again. - Donna Christopher

until it is legal

the plants need to be destroyed. Illegal growing trashes the environment and fosters violence to casual hikers on public land. Too many growers are thugs and gangsters who flout not only this law but many others that do endanger the public. I agree that it should be legalized. Until then, grow your own. A plant or two (or even 10) is all it takes. As for medical MJ, I'm not sure staying stoned all day long is a long-term answer to chronic pain. There are other solutions. It's sort of like begging at stop signs being an answer for poverty - not a viable long-term solution. - tom

Destroying plants is a waste of police resources

It's a waste of law enforcement resources to destroy 3000 plants. Marijuana should be legal for adults who want a less-toxic drug than alcohol to relax with.

If you want marijuana to be legalized, taxed, and regulated for adults, YOU can make it happen. Tell your legislators to support California Assembly Bill 390. It's easy. Visit yes390.org
