Not that I matter, but any Clearlake resident should be there to fight for this land. It should state park land not destroyed for housing. I can\'t even remember all the times I\'ve fished and explored that area as a kid. The artifacts we use to find show it to be a vital native hunting ground. It is nesting grounds for how many birds? I have seen Osprey and Eagles nests along that stretch. It will be a huge blow to the County if this land is turned into a place like the borax lake sub-division or the avenues. Two huge failures of our area. Lets put money in those areas. I won\'t miss another meeting hopefully and I hope more will try to make it. As a former planning commissioner, I am interested when such large developments are proposed. I see some people have done their homework, and hope that [i]if[/i] the project is approved, it is [i]fully[/i] mitigated. Our county is simply too precious to repeat the mistakes of the past.
