I am curious as to how many of these homes are spec properties.

We had groups coming into the county building and buying properties under the concept of our county being the next \"Lake Tahoe\".

Donna, Lake County is already in the real estate purchasing business. The county is doing its part in spending the a portion of the states 28 billion dollar debt.

Perhaps you could buddy up with Denise and incorporate your idea into the county buying up housing for sherrifs, fire, Code enforcement, and all the rest of the county service workers.

Then the county could apply for WPA status. Every resident that was forced to volunteer 100 hours of service under Obamas plan would get a house too.

What a lovely world that would be. :) - bearer

with Walt Wilcox, former D3 Supervisor, the concept of the County getting foreclosed upon homes into their budgets and into the ownership of our local law enforcement personel. We keep hearing how our wages aren\'t competitive enough with surrounding counties, perhaps this could be our leg up. Think of what having local LE in the communities would do for them!! And I mean both the community and employee. - Donna Christopher
