Happen to catch a piece on 60 Minutes where they were talking to one of the heads of Conway Trucking Company. At that moment in time he had 50 employees deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan. His company is trying to keep those 50 jobs open for their return and make up the salary difference and help them maintain their medical premiums in the best interests of their families and our country. The 15-18 month deployments are kicking his companies butt. Why in the world are We The People not making up the difference? This is getting to be an unbearable burden for private businesses and families. We can do better.
