County. I too wish to thank you Elizabeth for keeping all of us informed, unlike the other paper, wonder why they bother to show up to those meetings. I do believe that many of them have played with whine up trains when they were kids! Amazing to see these folks in action, reminds me of the TV show Hazard County and the Dukes at times. Who in their right minds can believe any community can save that amount of money by not having legal counsel present to advise this city council on municipal matters? Perhaps the city administrator has a JD and have them convinced they got a real big bang for limited bucks since he seems to head the rest of the city departments with exception of Police and Finance. Thank God the county do not follow clearlake\'s model politics. - superstarr60

Thanks Elizabeth for another comprehensive look at the dysfunctional City of Clearlake. I don\'t even know where to begin! The airport property deal is probably the stupidest thing in recent history, now they want to follow Lakeport\'s lead and do their own animal control? Only topped by the fact they sold the land where the shelter and public works are presently located for a ridiculous low ball price and still have not been paid for it. Do these Einstein\'s really think they can relocate the public works and build an animal shelter for 300K?

Only to be topped by the 425K savings by not having the city attorney attend all the meetings! I could go on but this makes my brain hurt!

Thanks for the comprehensive report, the other media had about one paragraph that didn\'t say much more than the budget passed.
