Someone please explain how the City of Clearlake went from a surplus of at least 700 thousand to 155 thousand in the hole with measure P in two years? Where did the money go to? I know, they will deny that the money was there, but there are a few people who know the truth. - Longbeard

\"The city\'s $12.5 million budget includes a little over $5 million for redevelopment and about $7.4 million for the city, said Neiman.\"

Just what does redevelopment do? I haven\'t seen any change going on here to the tune of 5 million a year! Seems redevelopment is a \"slush fund\" for the city as it\'s been reportrd they are always on the verge of being shut down by the state and in need of an advisory committee or something.

Oh that\'s right I forgot the redevelopment agency is the city council, silly me.

Still begs the answer to the question \"what have they done lately?\" (or ever)
