AHHH! Once again we get to be enlightened by \"The World According to Darryll Watkins.\"

You see Terry, if your daughter wasn\'t such a damn sinner, and learned to respect her husband, everything would have worked out fine.

Watch out Kruk Ed Daryl is about to accuse you of being pro abortion, pro Darwin, anti creation and an enemy of God!! Darul has already put you on his list of enemies. - jmadison

if this will help you, but my advice to you is get a decent lawyer!!! I would advise you to get someone who can throw some weight around a court room...Going with a "friendly" neighborhood lawyer (I hope you didn\'t get a lawyer from Lakeport!!!) costs more in the end, it would be better to go to the big city and have a very good and expensive lawyer tell you the cost up front and that he needs $2000 or $3000 right away to take your case, and win in court and get what you want very fast, saving money in the end. And don\'t just assume the system is rotten or working against you, because if that\'s what you except, then that\'s what will happen, that\'s how life works.
Fight back, document everything (the abuse), report the SOB to the proper authorities as far as unpaid taxes and "disability".
Your daughter needs your help, but you both need to separate the difficult emotional issues from the legal process, keep your mind on the prize, which is not to get back at him (there is no getting even in divorce, only getting out) but to do everything that needs to be done so your daughter can get the support from him to pay her bills and move on with her life.
As far as him doing therapy, you can\'t force anyone to do therapy...this is a common illusion that even the legal system endorses. You can\'t force anyone to heal emotionally or psychologically anymore than you can force someone to quit drinking. Some people are addicted to their mental illnesses, and abusers in particular are not good candidates unless they really want to get well. - Raphael

Mother-in-Law

Terry sounds like another controlling mother-in-law who wanted to live her daughter\'s life for her but the husband objected. Looking forward he saw one lady; now sees two in his rear view mirror. The ERA has turned into Eve Ruling Adam with sometimes a twist of two Eves Ruling Adam. More and more California men are having to go over seas to get a decent girl, these days. - Kruk Ed Strait

the rolls we ALL play in disfunctional relationships include,
the rescuer, persecutor & victim.

Advice...step back.
Take all that energy you have and continue to empower your daughter...

that is where change will begin for all of you.

and yes, this is a male dominated society but again in order to move forward to effect change, it needs to begin within...not allowing ourself to become victims, persecutors or unhealthy rescueing of others.

good luck...reach out for guidance, it\'s there when we are looking. - lenny

I have no magical words for you and do understand your frustration. What your daugther has received is the law and the reality is theres not much justice with our system anymore. I do hope this anguish your family is tolerating will be extinguished with some inteligence. Now I must preface that every noun as been used to describe this old man and the conception is that I\'m delusional because I find some of our governments actions inexcusable. The end to the answer is who you are, more than what they are. May your God look over you and yours. - James

The story above should go far in warning young women to date someone at least a year or two before marrying someone who\'s real charachter is not yet known to them and to their family. - Shores_of_Kabatin

tale in Lake County. Don\'t put to much faith, if you have any left, in the system. Turn this dude in if he\'s collecting disablity and is not entitled to it. Take lots of pictures for proof. As far as getting back child support as well as an current - I sadly must tell you that I have a friend who is still owed large amounts of child support. Her \"child\" in question is now soon to be 25 with two children of his own. My friend still has a piece of paper that sez deadbeat daddy still owes a huge amount to her and the State. All parties involved know a dime will never be seen. Your daughter should design a line of DeadBeat Dad Cards - that would probably be the best way to cash in on this rat bas#@$% and help her get out of this hole he keeps digging for her. Good luck to all. - Donna Christopher
