jmadson- Nothing wrong with a few cold ones.As for who we should replace these weasels with.Homer Simpson would be a better choice than McCain or Obama, how about Ron Paul or Bob Barr.I like the idea of reducing big government, dumping the federal reserve and getting out of the United Nations. Couldnt be any worse. - DDean

Oil Company experience

Why does Mike Thompson think he knows how to run a oil company? His bill is just an effort to stop drilling in ANWAR or the outer continental shelf. The oil spill scare is a BS argument. Katrina and Rita destoyed many rigs in the Gulf of Mexico but no spills. Oil companies are not using current leases because the conditions are so onerus. Mike just wants to add further impediments to exploration. No wonder only 9% think congress is doing a good or excellant job. - arttow

I donot see this government promoting the general welfare. It has been one sided far to long. This system has been created by them to serve them for their good and has came about over time by bureaucrats so they have a more perfect union for them. We are shackled by their greed, power the arrogance of their will. Do I have hope? Nope the corruption is complete. What we were is gone what we will become is on the way. - James

I can\'t find any information on why the oil companies are not using this resource. I\'d like to know if the existing leases are viable, in which case the oil companies are screwing us, or if they are not, then the Democrats are. You can bet somebody is. - ron_b

Recently McCain and Obama talked of drilling for oil in the good old U.S.of A.Now Mike Thompson. The U.S hasn\'t built a new refinery in thirty years.Your BS really sounds hollow. As Americans isn\'t their a way to remove these weasels from office.Oh right, too much trouble. Were all tired from work,so kick back down a few beers, turn on the tube.Everyting will be al-right,except that Financial freight train about to derail.Increase your stores.God bless - DDean
