You may think rational thoughts, however, your written word doesn\'t come across rational. You seem to lack some common sense on certain issues. Your hate and anger get the best of you. You are probably a very intelligent person. But again, your hate and anger takes over and you lose the point. It turns to a annoying babble. - gabby

How can I help?

I don\'t know any of the details of this case, but I am willing to do whatever I can to help. If the accused young woman needs help she can contact me. I know that we are legal adults at 18, but, having raised two children, know that, this is not really the proof of maturity.Just address a request to me and I will respond.
I am not rushing to judgement of either young women, I just believe that the facts should be studied. - muddiegirl
Lord of the Flies indeed. How many innocent people have been killed in Iraq and Afganistan? Is this 18 year old stabbing suspect much different than the 18 year olds that are killing in foriegn countries? Are innocent bystanders that are killed acceptable? How does a marine get out of jail after killing an innocent Iraqi family? True American patriots find this type of killing just as tragic as if it occurs within our own county.
Had you actually read Sir William Gerald Golding book you would not be wondering.

Gabby,

My thinking is always rational, it\'s only when dealing with irrational people that I let my emotions get the best of me. You, Magnum, Firedog and the rest of the rat pack seem to not want to listen to rational thinking most of the time.

I do not bash the police, they have a very hard job to do, and the problem is they are not allowed to do it! Stay around the planet as long as I have and you will change your tune, trust me.

So long, good night to all the ships at sea, OH and you too.

Oh and to all the people who hijack a registered user, we are all reporting your ISP address, you can be traced... - kd006

Sad, sad that our young people have to face this world where it\'s kill or be killed. I don\'t know the facts of this situation other than the report here, but any way you look at it, I fear for all these young people. It\'s Lord of the Flies.
Thank you Raphael for your thoughtful comments.
I\'d like to sign in with my own name, but whenever I try, the prompt says my useername or password is invalid. When I attempt to change the password, it again says that it is invalid. I gave up. - gabby

Moondreamer must be dreaming. Some of these kids are rough characters and are capable of murder. What do you think happens when you carry a weapon around? Eventually it gets used. Good to hear from you Old Coot! - gabby

is not worse or better than any other...there are problems everywhere in the world.
But "good thoughts", "positive thinking", etc, cannot be used as band aids or opiates over inherent suffering or negativity. People heal when they are ready, and they do so by confronting their own inner "darkness" (pain, shame, rage, fear, guilt, trauma, etc) not by pretending it is not there as is becoming popular under the new "focus on the present moment-the past is irrelevant" superficial make-believe therapies that insurance companies love because they are as short and consequently as cheap as they are ineffective.
This is very sad for the girl who died, and very sad for the one who did this, she is obviously very sick (sickness is not an excuse but a reality. A sick person has a responsibility to seek help or else suffer the consequences of destructive actions, as will be the case here under the law...meaning jail I assume).
A repressive (in the neurotic, psychological sense) world does not offer an open door for healing, but provides sick individuals secondary defenses against feeling (as in the case of jail and institutionalization) that fit their existing neurosis and deprivations perfectly, perpetuating suffering. - Raphael

Society

This is a sickness in our society, as evidenced by the Hamster incident, the kitten in Petaluma or wherever that was set on fire and now two teen girls not being able to deal with their differences without resorting to a knife!

Where are the parent\'s of these misguided kids? Are they just stoners or methheads too?

I have to agree that the police do little to prevent these things, partly because state law prevents them from acting. They ask the public to be their \"eye\'s and ear\'s\" but when you report suspicious activity they kind of blow it off. I reported that children were going into a home of 30 year olds, coming out barely able to walk and falling down. I suspect they are being given drugs or booze but the police say \"did you see it go on?\" and walk away!

So the rapid decline of society continues and we all stand back and watch like Nero playing the fiddle as Rome burned.

Laws need to change, parent\'s cannot disipline their children, teachers can\'t, and the police get called and can\'t do anything either so the little Rat Bast**ds just laugh and go on about their ways.

It\'s not getting any better in case anyone has not noticed, it\'s getting worse at an accererated speed and shows no sign of ending.

We\'ll have an update tonight (Friday), but the girls this story references were Carle High students. The two girls involved in the hamster case were Lower Lake High students. When I called Probation to ask what had happened with those girls\' case I was told in no uncertain terms that the sentence wasn\'t public record because they were minors. - elarson

More teen troubles in Clearlake... this is just awful!

Does anyone know what ever happened with the girls that tortured the hampster? Wonder if this is connected... or if this is becoming the norm for teenagers to kill each other... cripple animals, etc. - chrizzy

I wonder if this wasn\'t done in self defense. It\'s a really good probability, since the CLPD doesn\'t do anything to protect but will arrest, if a confession is present, or the person being arrested is helpless and poor, with no way of getting GOOD legal help to protect their rights. - moondreamer

Well, i don\'t know who ginny is or who knedert is, but they are comming up on my site...... and I apologize for using their names as an outlet, but my comment on this and all the rest of the crap that goes on here in this community and the rest of the world is shameful that people are not aware enough to know that they create their own reality and it starts with each and every one of us. Stay present and do the kind things that we need to do for each other. This world and community could actually be a better place. Again, apologies to Ginny and Knedert.
Think good thoughts. - Ginny
