By Dave...but I wouldn\'t count too much on a right to bear arms to preserve our freedoms...It might have been valid in the 18th century, but since then we have been out gunned by the federal government, wouldn\'t you think? (not to mention the other means of population monitoring and control that are available to them...). Let\'s face it, what is coming (global fascism) might make the book 1984 look like a picnic.
About the Constitution, do you know that talking about it, carrying information about it, being concerned about it makes you a potential terrorist according to Homeland security terrorist profiling?
Yeah folks, waiving the flag is okay as long as it means nothing, or as long as it means supporting Bush or Hillary or war, but try waiving the Constitution, and see what happens (even if you are not considered a nut case, you will be considered dangerous...try quoting the Constitution to someone, and you might be called a communist. That\'s how much Americans know about it, and how far this country has departed from its principles).
Revolution anyone? - Raphael

This view that our constitution has life and breathes has taken hold. Words on paper that have life can be used to suite the desires of those in power. We have aready lost we legislate rather than amend. We have gone insane and the fruit cakes are our care takers. How about some fresh cake. Semper Fi. - James

Our Democracy is threatened

Dave\'s point is that for 7 years the Republicans have underhandedly attacked and castrated our Constitution and our rights to the point that all Americans, from liberal to conservative, should be outraged. Change and correction is desperately needed. In the interim we must \"keep a close eye\" open and prevent further secretive attacks. A \"thugs R us\" camp on the border may be \"a covert attempt to militarize the border without going through congressional oversight or public debate. A so-called “training camp” could probably also function as an operational base. Perhaps Blackwater will obtain government contracts to patrol the border, gradually edging out US agents and putting border security into the hands of a private army away from public scrutiny.\" - inov8tiv

Ever hear of Blackwater? I think that is the mercenary army in Iraq being referred to by Dave. Blackwater hires mercenary soldiers from other countries than the US. - firecarp

dave is talking about Blackwater, AKA \"thugs R us\".
And yes, they have their sights set on doing border patrol work, and have built a new base (illegally), right next to the customs/border patrol office on the CA/Mexico border in San Diego county. - smurf

Interesting Insight

Dave,

You make some interesting observations. Do I understand you right? Iraqi soldiers are here in the US training to fight us? Do you actually know where this is happening? If you do, why not report it to the authorities and help put a stop to it? Or, are you simply generalizing?

I also do not understand this comment, \"If this obscene Iraqi occupation is ended, watch for them to to get a no-bid open ended contract on the Mexican border, as they are already building a base almost on top of it.\" What is your source for such information? Or, is this simply your opinion? - lamar
