He laughed, said essentially it must suck to be us and he was very happy about his acreage up Elk Mountain Road and his plentiful well. He then went on to tell us that County counsel said they could do nothing to help us out - that was proved to be untruthful and as we all know the electorate in District 3 did not take kindly to that. Supervisor Rushing has brought the water issue to the board many times and offered as much help as they can. IT IS A PRIVATE FOR PROFIT WATER COMPANY!! Other than find some way to eminent domain it thru redevelopment there is not alot the Supes can do but advocate for the citizens of Lucerne - which is what they have unanimously done (turns out they only needed the supe here to ASK). For those who qualify, you can get $10 off your water bill, and the Public Utilities Commision said that after 10 years, the bill would lower from $17 to $15. I guess that\'s big companies. :confused: Anyway, Parker also asked why his water bill was at $50.
