What is next. They are already going ahead with their plans for the ACH designation without the completion of the study they promised the BOS they would do. They have been operating as if they already have this designation thus keeping their bed counts low. JACHO (the accreditating agency) is set to visit this month. There willl be no turning them back if this happens. They lost money, what medical care facility hasn\'t. Payments/reimbursements are low, cost keep climbing, and everyone is hurting. However there is the money to build a \"Wellness Center\" (not that I am against health and wellness). Something is amiss. Who can afford to go the center, not those of us on fixed incomes. Sutter, how can you do this, you lost money because you had poor billing practices and you operated a dyalisis center that you could not afford to operate in the first place. Now those patients have to drive to Ukiah, (or the NEW one in Clearlake). You will never let go of htart higher payment rate no matter what happens (like the county census increasing to 100K). Why go back to the lower rate when you can keep the higher rate, ship out the patients and continue to operate as if you can do whatever you wish.
