			<description>The beard of the wild turkey is not, in fact, the bright colored flesh that hangs below the 'chin'. This is the wattle. Turkeys do have 'beards', (Generally only seen on toms, but sometimes on hens), but these are stringy dark feathers that come out of the breast.  - Hwy175</description>
