the guy who helped the dea agents set up the deal that got these guys in trouble got off the hook for shooting at someone through his business door. so they want to put 5 non-violent contributers to society into jail, and let this dirtbag off for attempted murder just because he helped the dea set them up, plus he is also in the "pot" business, but apparently he doesn't have as much money to contribute to law enforcement. Talk about pick and choose, you let one pot seller, who also shot at someone, off the hook, to put 5 other non-violent pot sellers in jail. What the heck!! shouldnt the guy with the gun be off the streets? but no, he's still roamin around with all his charges dropped. Just plain not fair, wheres the justice in our system when we see things like this going on behind the scenes. - doodle

there are all kinds of reasons we have criminals, pot not being the only one, people also break into homes to steal televisions, jewelry, and money, should we eliminate those things too because it causes dishonest, non-law abiding citizens to come into your home to take things that don't belong to them? Thats ridiculous, why do we keep blaming pot growers and not the actual offenders. Thats like blaming the gun and not the person firing it. We will never live in a perfect world, we will always have to deal with people who don't obey the law, but pot is not the reason these people steal, the people who steal are the problem. I promise, if you took pot away, we would still have criminals. - doodle

I am not law enforcement, and never have been. I'm just the family member that didn't get on the dope parade. So, I have to take care of all the loose ends that the pot heads left behind, when they decided to check out. Aged parents, abandon kids, legal nightmares. Not nearly as much fun as just getting wasted.
How are you going to regulate and tax something that grows wild. You can't, is the short answer. - Olmossback1

Write home as no Internet.

Brutal it can be, I really would not want this on anyone . - a guest

Same ignorant LE posts

There it is again, the dope is dope you dopes post. The ignorance of our local LE is astounding. These guys are clueless. You owe your lives to us, you big meany dope heads. Listen dummy, if you ask all the pot users and growers etc. in the state 99.9 percent of them will tell you they hate meth. meth heads and all the other heavy drugs that are out there. You LE's don't have a clue you live in a world that doesn't let you see reality. Look at all the corruption and havoc occuring in your own sheriffs and DA departments. And you would pass judgment on others oh please. Hey lets do this one, cops across the country and in this county and in fact in this state have 3 times the alcohol abuse rate as the average citizen, yet you see very little to no DUI's written on cops, many studies point this out, not only that you have 4 times the wife abuse rate as the average population, come on smart ass tell me you have the right to pass judgement. - llovelace

dope policy mossback - legalize, regulate and tax. Remember all the violence when alcohol was prohibited? STOP THE JOB SECURITY BY A SELECT GROUP BECAUSE OF DOPEY LAWS. - Donna Christopher

Have all you potted up dingbats been reading the local papers? For the last couple of months, its been all about murders, and attempted murders, and they all involved pot patches. Bad mouth the cops all you want, but every one of those dope growing morons that didn't get shot dead, were screaming their lungs out for a cop when they were discovered. You better wake up. Law breakers don't get real selective about what laws they break. They figure murder is only really bad if it happens to you, or you get caught for one. - Olmossback1

Your right Donna, not even close to being about pot, and here we have the all powerful DEA, in what appears concert with our local sheriff, with a number of hidden connections, and they bring in a mini army to what, take down a few hundred plants in little Upper Lake. Enough said on that front, however to see what the citizens of lake county are saying concerning our current sheriffs and DA departments go to:

becoming apparent that this isn't about pot - it's about government seizure of some really nice assets.

Hey DEA - why don't you target heroin which funds the Taliban? Or crank which funds the Mexican cartels? Oh, that's right - those guys shoot back.>:( - Donna Christopher
