Isn't preparing children to be part of the community the main function of schools? Maybe it isn't. If schools aren't finding ways for students to learn from community members in the community then they aren't doing their job. I've listed ways that schools can use public access TV8 as a tremendous, and largely free, resource. Community envolvement is the key to community advancement. Everyone, parent or not, should get involved in one way or another. Many kids need musical instruments, or sports equipment, or just the basic school supplies. Get involved with above mentioned youth groups. Do something!!! Don't know what to do? Ask Bill.
