Subjects will include the county's existing trail network in the county, planned new facilities (including the exciting Ridgeline Trail on the heights above the Northshore), and more distant future prospects for additional local trails and linkages to a regional network extending from Lake Berryessa to the Lost Coast (and beyond).

Participants include Chuck Lamb and Holly Harris, who were the originators of the Ridgeline Trail proposal and are actively engaged in making it a reality; equestrians Karen Sullivan and Dennis Jensen; and mountain bikers Tom Smythe and Angela Siegel.

The audience also will be encouraged to share information about their own favorite spots for outdoor recreation, and to discuss ways that we can improve access, expand the network, and promote safety.

The meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the Kelseyville High School Library (5480 Main St. in Kelseyville), is free and open to the public.

Both 2008 Sierra Club calendars and (free) compact fluorescent light bulbs will also be available, as well as petitions against roadside herbicide sprays and for the preservation of lakeshore access in Lakeport.
