Blood donors will receive free t-shirts at the upcoming Fire Sirens blood drive on Saturday, Aug. 18.
The Fire Sirens auxiliary partners with the Blood Bank of the Redwoods for the event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Middletown Fire Station, 21095 Highway 175.
Fire Sirens member Babe Vecellio of Hidden Valley Lake organizes the drives, which are held every eight weeks.
Since 1985, the Fire Sirens has raised money to purchase emergency equipment for the South Lake Fire Protection District.
All are welcome to join the organization. Meetings are the first Monday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Middletown fire station. Refreshments are served and speakers are invited. |
