Volunteers are needed for a Saturday effort to finish clearing away debris removed from the Black Forest during a fire prevention project in April. About 20 volunteers are needed to walk in front of a collection truck, scooping the small limbs and leaves into containers and then into the truck's 5-foot by 7-foot bin. Also needed are rakes, shovels and pitch forks (with pitch forks being preferable). The project will run from 8 a.m. to noon or possibly sooner. Volunteers are invited to arrive and leave at anytime.

Please meet at Golf Road and Soda Bay. There is space to park in the staging area or along the edge of Golf Road.
