The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 88 of Lake County, is offering boating safety and seamanship classes for the boating public. The one-day classes, held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will cover many subjects such as personal safety around water, basic boating information, boating law and rules of the road, basic operation of a variety of vessels, and accident prevention and rescue. Flotilla 88 encourages the boating public to sign up for this important boating safety course. It has been proved that many injuries and accidents have been avoided and many lives have been saved by the knowledge acquired in the safe boating courses. Cost of material for the course is $25. |
