Wildflowers are blooming throughout the park just in time for the annual Wildflower Brunch, presented from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, by Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association (CLSPIA). The annual brunch accompanies this weekend's Heron Festival activities. Your Wildflower Brunch omelet will be prepared with your choice of fillings, add pastries, fruit and coffee, then enjoy at a picnic table in the great outdoors across from the Visitor Center. Cost is $12 per person. The award-winning Kelseyville High School Jazz Band will perform during the brunch beginning at 9:30 a.m. There also will be a raffle of many exquisite items including an accurate wildflower quilt, paintings and jewelry. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged. Reservations and payment can be made through www.heronfestival.org or by phone (800) 525-3743. A complete schedule of activities including the Heron Festival pontoon boat tours ($15 per person), environmental speakers and children’s activities for April 28-29 can be found online at www.heronfestival.org. Don't hesitate to use this convenient method for reservations and information. There is no entrance fee to Clear Lake State Park on Saturday and Sunday to attend the Wildflower Brunch and the Heron Festival, sponsored by Redbud Audubon. |
