The Lake Group of the Sierra Club is conducting a hike on Perkins Creek Ridge on Sunday, April 22. The public is welcome. This moderate but long hike starts near the Lake County land fill and then mostly follows the ridge above the main stem of Cache Creek to the intersection with the Baton Flat trail. We will meet at the Red Bud trail head, 8 miles east of Clearlake Oaks on Highway 20, just before the bridge over the North Fork of Cache Creek. We will use a car shuttle to go to the trail head. Meet at 8 a.m. at the trail head and bring lunch, water, binoculars and your favorite wildflower guide. In the last trip we identified 27 different wild flowers along the trail. |
Location: Red Bud trail head, 8 miles east of Clearlake Oaks on Highway 20, just before the bridge over Cache Creek.
