The Lakeport City Council has created local crises for medical cannabis patients and their caregivers. The medical cannabis cultivation ban, which will become effective April 6, will prevent hundreds of seriously ill patients from access to the only effective medicine now available to them in preventing pain and suffering. Lakeport and Lake County medical cannabis patients and caregivers must unite in a nonviolent resistance to the war on medical cannabis in Lakeport. Join with others to organize a local chapter of Americans for Safe Access (ASA). Dave McCullick of D&M Compassion Center is in strong support of ASA and the Lake County Chapter. Meeting will be held at Cafe Victoria, 301 N Main St. in Lakeport on April 5 at 6 p.m. Open menu will be available. For more information call 245-6630. Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is the largest national member-based organization of patients, medical professional, scientists and concerned citizens (30,000 plus members) promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic uses and research. www.americansforsafeaccess.org. |
