Clear Lake Performing Arts will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Presbyterian Church's Friendship Hall in Kelseyville at 4 p.m.

CLPA members are urged to attend and to invite a friend, too. A free hot buffet will be offered, prepared and served by members of the group's Auxiliary. However, reservations are absolutely necessary. They can be made by calling 279-0877, 277-8172 or 277-7076.

Members of the Lake County Symphony traditionally use this occasion to say "thanks" to CLPA and the community for their continuing support.

This year, members making up the Lake County Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of John Parkinson, will present several examples of outstanding baroque music by Luigi Boccherini, George Phillip Telemann and William Boyce, as well as Mozart's popular "Serenade in D."

The Chamber Orchestra is made up of members of the symphony's string section, supported by three flutes, a bassoon, a French horn and timpani. Members of the CLPA Youth Orchestra will also join the group playing flute and violin.

Andi Skelton, chair of the CLPA Youth Committee, will lead the youngsters and adults of the Konocti Fiddle Club in additional musical entertainment.

In a brief business session preceding dinner and entertainment, members will be introduced to the incoming board of directors.

Location: Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5430 Third St.
