Bob Lossius, Assistant Director of the Lake County Department of Public Works, will talk about the pending Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project, that when completed will restore some 1400 acres of wetland habitat (increasing Clear Lake wetlands by 80 per cent), remove 3.5 miles of crumbling levees, and reduce sediment loading into the Lake by 28 per cent. The meeting is free and the public is invited. |
