A poetry slam, sponsored by Watershed Books, will take place this Saturday at Cafe Victoria.
The poetry slam format is a rousing and fun contest, with the audience cheering and encouraging their favorite poems, and competitors vying for prizes.
The slam will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24.
There will be three rounds and three prizes.
Cafe Victoria is located at the corner of Third and Main streets, Lakeport.
