AnnDrewArt Art Supplies and Gallery and Inner Skies Gift Shop at the Tuscan Village is sponsoring another Craft Faire on Mothers Day Weekend. The highlight of the Faire will be the display of the Opportunity Quilt to be raffled by the Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild. Elizabeth Whittaker-Williams wrote "We make a quilt every year and sell tickets for the opportunity for someone to win it. The drawing is in October at our quilt show. The money we earn from the quilt goes to buying fabrics to make baby quilts. Then our members make the baby quilts and give them to the Redbud Hospital." They will also have a craft activity for children. This sounds like a worthy cause and certainly worth checking out. At this time the Ladies could only commit to Saturday, so if you would like to buy raffle tickets for the quilt you will want to make an appearence then. If you are interested in participating as a vendor please see the guidelines below Open Craft Fairs Hosted by AnnDrewArt Gallery and Inner Skies at The Tuscan Village, to take place at The Tuscan Village at 16175 Main St., P.O. Box 1735, Lower Lake 11am to 4pm. We’d like to invite all vendors of handmade items to our open Craft Fair. In the past we’ve had a lot of foot traffic when we’ve done this and that has been with very little to no promo. Now we’re going to start promoting them. In addition we are now organizing the Craft Fairs to make it easier on everyone. These are going to get very full as we get closer to tourist season. We will then give 1st consideration to seniority. Following are some guidelines: - There is no fee. We are trying to raise funds to sponsor students from low income families for our Art Camp here this summer, so if you do well, you are encouraged to kick us down some at AnnDrewArt.
- Spaces are not assigned, but are on a 1st come-1st served basis. Ann White from AnnDrewArt or Swan Goldsmith, our Craft Fair Coordinator, will be here at 10am to tell you what areas you may choose from to set up your space. If it will take longer than an hour to set up, call us so that we can accommodate you.
- All set-up items are the Vendor’s responsibility. Keep it simple. A canopy or umbrella is a good idea. Most of you will be setting up on pavement, along the village path. We want customers to be able to see you from the street.
- It is assumed that all Vendors have the necessary documentation, like a Resale Permit.
- We do not require, but do not provide Liability Insurance. Expect to sign a Hold Harmless Agreement the first time you show up.
- At this point, it would be nice but, we do not require advance notice. However, if you tell us you’re going to be there, we’d like you to make every effort to show up. So, don’t commit if you’re unsure.
Otherwise, common sense rules apply. We have a bathroom here, just so you know. Here is the schedule updated 4/23/08: May 10th & 11th (the 11th being Mothers Day and a huge event is planned) May 24th, 25th & 26th (Memorial Day weekend) June 21st & 22nd (3rd weekend of June) July 4th, 5th & 6th (A big Birthday party for the USA) July 19th & 20th (3rd weekend of July) Aug. 16th & 17th (3rd weekend of Aug. - This may change depending on event addition) Contact information for questions and/or suggestions: Business Address or Craft Fair Coordinator Ann White c/o AnnDrewArt Swan Goldsmith PO Box 1735 279-1880 Lower Lake, CA 95457 995-5079 home: 278-0312 cell: 315-5568 (free for me on weekends, but I have very limited minutes so please use it as a last resort).
