The Lake County Library will hold a special “how-to” clinic on legal research this month. The workshop will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in the library, and will be led by attorney Steve Elias, a library board of trustees member and author of the Nolo Press book, “How To Do Legal Research.” Refreshments will be served. The Lake County Law Library serves everyone living in Lake County, not just the legal community. The library also provides research materials for self-help subjects such as small claims, landlord/tenant, divorce, bankruptcy, guardianship, wills and powers of attorney. The Lake County Law Library is located at 175 Third St., Lakeport, telephone 263-2205. Visit the library's new Web site at www.co.lake.ca.us/Government/DepartmentDirectory/Law_Library.htm. |
