The mention of closing the county's state parks is not stopping the Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association. The group reports that it plans to add to its Education Pavilion Fund with an indoor garage sale on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will take place at the Kelseyville Senior Center, 5245 Third St. (the old post office building). All docents and friends of Clear Lake State Park are invited to help by donating their unused items and helping with the event. Clean out your closets, cupboards and garages. Bring tons of stuff, large and small! They promise to have a lot of fun working for a great cause. On Friday, Feb 8, the senior center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive donated items, sort, price and set up. Community members are invited to bring their unwanted useable stuff. (Please mark size on any clothing from which the size tag has been removed previously. It really helps, if this is done.) If anyone has items too large to handle, call Bill Beat at 279-8510, Sandy Moura at 279-0431 or Neil Towne at 279-2527. If you cannot drop off your items on Friday, give Towne a call. Volunteers will be needed all day Saturday. To volunteer call Madelene Lyon, 279-4395. |
